MURANO: UPCYCLING GLASS | 07 Sep 2023 - 06 Jan 2024

Event organised by Promovetro Consortium at Murano Glass Museum.

In collaboration with the Veneto Region, the Venice and Rovigo Chamber of Commerce, and created in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, the Civic Museums Foundation of Venice, CoReVe – Glass Recovery Consortium and Compagnia Energetica Italiana.

On the occasion of The Venice Glass Week 2023, the Promovetro Consortium of Murano presents "Murano: Upcycling Glass", at the Murano Glass Museum. The exhibition aims to highlight the flexibility and ability of sixteen glass masters from concessionary companies of the Vetro Artistico® Murano brand. For the occasion, the masters will face the challenge of giving life to unique works with recycled crystal glass, a glass that we usually differentiate at home but which is particularly difficult to work with.
The exhibition set-up is also eco-sustainable and has a strong impact, it will be an opportunity to demonstrate how the Murano glass sector cares about sustainability and tries to decline it without ever losing sight of the tradition that distinguishes it and makes it unique.
